b'A letter fromOur Foundation PresidentThis year was one of our best years ever! We celebrated 20 years of impact thanks to our co-founders Jack and Barbara, our dedicated Board of Directors, and many, many donors and supporters. When we established the Major Champions Club in 2015, it was our way to recognize our most generous friends, and that vision has grown to an impact of more than $90 million contributed. We are so grateful for their support to help advance and enhance health care for children locally, nationally, and internationally. Together, they helped us launch the Jack and Barbara Nicklaus Childrens Legacy Fund, which is helping children like Grethel who is featured in this magazine. Thanks to the Legacy Fund, Grethel received life-changing surgery from a talented, multidisciplinary team at Nicklaus Childrens Hospital who were able to successfully remove her tumor. Her only option in her home country of Nicaragua would have left her without a jaw and the ability to speak or eat. Today, Grethel is back home growing up with her twin sister and enjoying life to the fullest. Supporting children to ensure they have the best chance at living their best lives is at the heart of our mission. Grethel and her family are examples of many whose lives have been forever changedthanks to our donors.Family is at the core of everything Jack and Barbara have done throughouttheir lifetime. They have been role models for their children and grandchildren, and it is heartwarming to watch the next generation of the Nicklaus family step up and lead many of our fundraising events. From the Golden Heart Luncheon to the Lost Tree Pro-Member, as well as The Jake, the Fish N Chip Tournament, and the Golden Cub Ambassador ClubNicklaus family members areco-chairing and supporting the efforts generating millions of dollars.I look forward to continuing our journey to support generations of families that will need world-class health caretoday, tomorrow, and beyond.Gratefully,Patty McDonald President & CEO'
